Hi,

Only talked with Travis a total of about 6 minutes on the phone in two calls over two weeks. A bit impatient and didn't want to talk too long, but seemingly nice guy.

Called Group Equipment, asked Saturday hours, drove 150 miles round trip, nobody there, closed.

Had a kind of funny response from Jarret about 4 days ago, with advice from group here, said to myself, "i'll pay a little more for a closer dealer."

In any case, "closer dealer's" truck broke down and still no tractor!

Mike,

It's OK. If you read back through the posts you can understand how I might have gotten the impression I did. If it didn't work out then it didn't work out. The most important thing here is that we make every effort to be forthright in our efforts. We don't make it easy for dealers here and so there is an effort to be accountable.

That said....good luck in you're search.

I hope things improve for Group. Travis is a nice guy, but he needs to improve other areas of his business. I have seen 2 other people buy elsewhere because of those same issues. I wish he would take an active interest in this site. I believe it would benefit Kioti, his business, and his customers. Good luck with your new tractor!

When I bought my CK20H from Group a little over 2 years ago, he had a sales guy working for him who handled the internet stuff. At that time they had an active Kioti sales type website, responded quickly via email, and were semi-active on TBN. But the sales guy and Travis couldn't get on the same page on various items, so he left and went to another dealership. Travis is a hard read...

Travis doesn't negotiate too much cause he doesn't have too, he gives you the lowest price the first time, all the time! Granted his demeanor could improve but I believe the reason for this is his low overhead which keeps him pretty busy. Yes, I bought from him because of the low price but nobdy else in my area was willing to come close to his price. Yes, I am concerned for follow up warranty work, but then again I do not buy expecting my purchase to fail, the same reason I don't buy extended warranties on big ticket items! Another reason I chose Kioti was their low failure record, so far so good. Travis sells tractors and alot of them. The week I got mine he got 2 loads, 2 weeks later he had 1 on the lot. Travis was over $1000 lower than anyone else within 500 miles.

I now have a new dealer 30 miles away (they were not prepared for sales when I bought mine) which is quite an impressive business and their nice people too, Rugh's Farm Supply. You might give them a call. I have initiated business with them by the purchase of a Kioti BB and they have agreed to warranty work if needed. I would like to think between the 2 dealers my new purchase will be taken care of in the event of a failure. Good Luck!

Hey I got it! From nice guy new dealer Steve Wandless, County Line EQuipment, Shepherdstown WV. $14.3 CK30HST FEL. My photo http://www.tractorbynet.com/photos/data/528/10023kioti_new_quonset-thumb.jpg

Whew! put about an hour on it. Wouldn't have wanted anything LESS powerful, for sure!!!! My only other experience was a Cub Cadet 782 17 HP Kohler for 25 years. Greased everythiing I could find with good moly grease.

Drove up and down 1/3 mi long driveway, trying FEL to level gravel. Rear tilting blade and SC King Kutter 60" on order at Central Tractor or Farm and Family or Central Tractor, whatever they call it nowadays!

It was 3qt low on hydraulic fluid when I got it, just on bottom mark. I went and got some good stuff and added it. Ag tires glad I got 'em, I'm way out.

Good paint job. Difficult fueling operation, filler location. Good deal, great tractor.

Lots of help from this forum and its archieves, thanks.

I'm going to put a radio/cd on it!!!! speakers on the ROPS! Pictures to come. Maybe even a ham radio!

Thanks for all your comments. Group Farm was too far away and no consistent message from them. This guy Steve in Shepherdstown WV is like the best used car dealer you can imagine! A good friend, nice aftershave, cool, mature, trustworthy. I think I'd buy a used car from him!!

Is he a new dealer? He is not to far from my work in Hagerstown.

I just sent a fax to Travis requesting a quote on a CK30hst.
The funny part of this is, I took the day off to visit tractor dealers, and had every intention of driving to Shepardstown, but forgot the mapquest printout with the directions, address and phone number to their showroom. Guess I'll give Steve a call and schedule a visit.
I went and visited another dealer in PA last weekend, and got a quote of $16.7K lor the tractor and FEL.
