Do you use yours for a grapple or to control one of the rear remotes?

I'm so glad you asked...look what just showed up on the loading dock at work for me today! 66" single lid EA Wicked Grapple! And no, that isn't the sun rising over my ROPS. It was after dark when I got home, but that is a very minor consideration when you see the ridiculous amount of lighting I have added to this tractor. The light is awesome, but it does pretty much defy your camera phone to take a good picture of the tractor at night because it completely blows out the light metering.

So I'm coming up close to 50 hours on my tractor which means it's time for the first service. My local dealer guesstimated around $300 to do the service. I haven't decided whether to drop the coin for them to donut or not, but for a reference point I went online to source the required filters and oil. There lies the issue.

I've found limited info for the filters but have come up with decent cross references to Wix and Baldwin filters for almost everything. The fuel filter is a Bosch model that I haven't found or been able to cross reference anywhere except an online vendor that wants almost $90. Same for the hydraulic oil filter. Oreilly Auto, Wix, and Baldwin were all no-go. Does anyone have a suggestion for either?

Lastly what are the specifications for engine lube oil and hydraulic oil for this tractor? Haven't found that info and don't have my manual available at the moment?

And here's my filter reference sheet for the filters if anyone is interested.

Sorry picture below is not great. Just talked to dealer about this. Tractor comes with Mahindra Brand Heavy Duty SAE 15W-40 and that is recommended for engine year round by this dealer. The chart below shows that you can use thicker or thinner based on prolonged weather extremes in either direction, but 15W-40 is pretty good for TX/LA weather year round I think... The engine oil fill point is at front left and has an exhaust gas recirc line tied into top. Its a press fit and you just wiggle/pull hard to pop it out. The hose can stay on. 5 liters needed (1.32 gals).

As to hydraulic oil for Transmission case and controls, since there is no separate transmission oil, you can use Mahindra Universal Tractor Fluid (HST compliant/specific), or something similar from Tractor Supply or other shops. Filler is just above rear left 3pt arm with a yellow lid. Check level window is on the lower right inside the 3pt arm. The dealer said that in the event of a failure it is helpful to have the factory branded oils in the engine and tranny as any testing by Mahindra QC will not lead to any speculation on improper fluids in the event of a claim under warranty takes place. I say that is an owner's call, and encourage all to check on that one for yourself. The Mahindra fluids are similarly priced so I use those. 32 liters here (8.5 gals)

The only other oil in the tractor is 80W-90 gear oil that you can use in both the front axle and a brush cutter if you have it... 8.2 liters (2.166 gals). That seems like a lot of axle fluid, but I have not needed to drain and refil yet.

I have no idea on filters - do you think Tractor supply can cross reference them for us yet?

Good luck!

Thanks for the info!! Not sure on TSC yet. Just Oreilly and that's it. I'd really like to order the filters online from a vendor or Amazon to save the tax. The Amazon total was almost $100 less than the online vendor I found, and free 2 day shipping with Prime.

Definitely need to do more searching and referencing for the engine lube oil and hydraulic system and determine compatibility and costs.

Hello, new on this site.....

I'm having the same problem with the fuel filter cross reference. Very aggravating!

For the other filters, I use Fleet Filter in Brenham. Also, LA Confederate, your part numbers match what I have. I think you'll like FF's prices if you buy in bulk.

PLEASE post any new info on the Bosch cross reference number and Thanks for all of you guys help!

I asked the service manager for the dealer in my neck of the woods about the fuel filter last week and he said he doesn't know of any cross references either. He could be blowing smoke but I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt so far.

I've been meaning to ask this but have been forgetting since it doesn't really bother me much.

How much fuel are ya'll able to get in the tank? I run it down to E and fill it up to the brim with just 5 gallons, but the manual states 9 gallons. Not really bothering me since I'm getting a good run time out of those 5 gallons but wanted to see if I'm missing something.

The other day I was close to the 1/4 tank mark and a 5 gallon jug filled it all the way up.

re: my 3016 tank

when the gauge says E, it won't take 5 gals.

it's supposed to be a 7.5 gal tank.

I think the gauges are messed up in a lot of them.
