I do have parts & manuals for it. I personnally would use Universal, but I had someone that switched & their mechanic claimed they had tranmission problems because of it. I don't believe it was the cause. No US tractor has specified gear oil since the 50's in a transmission.

Hi, I have one of these and think it may be an import here in Australia, it has a lot of chinese writing on it and some English.. Anyway I dont know what type of oil to run the gearbox / rear end plus I cant for the life of me find an air filter to suit it.
Any help appreciated thanks ! Dick
Air filter is: OD to case 83mm
OD to plastic fins 110mm
ID 45mm
length 245mm

I have the same tractor Tl2501 in bundy australia, with diesel filling up the sump badly now blowing out through the oil filler cap.
it started with diesel overflowing from the top of inject.pump just a small amount. Sump is overflowing. I don't know the cause.
Also what is the small reservoir under the battery in front of radiator ??? The cable from the dash operates the L toR tilt on my
pto links. I was told that the gearbox uses synthetic 80 oil but I use universal 80 gear oil. I get
the airfilter from Bolens tractors, I will find the part number for you.

Thanks for info, didnt know it had tilt !
I tried 80w90 gear oil but it made the hyd pump caviate, I went back to universal tractor oil and its sweet now.
