Info. required for warranty work?

/ Info. required for warranty work? #11
I am a certified Cub Cadet technician with eleven years in the Power Sports and Equipment industry. You can take your Cub Cadet to any dealer for warranty work. It is helpful to the servicing dealer ifyou did not purchase the unit there, to provide a copy of the original sales receipt; though not required. If you purchased the unit from a retailer that is not a service provider, a copy of the original sales receipt is a very good idea; as some none service providing retailers do not alway file the warranty regiestration properly. After the sale the unit is no longer a problem.

The reasoning behind that policy is so that the technician can determine the cause of failure and insure that it does not occur again. Just last week I had a customer bring in the deck to his mower to diagnosis an abnormal noise. I inspected the deck and could find no problem. When the the unit was finally brought in and tested under a load the problem was found and the customer received three new spindles, covered by warranty, instead of just the one that was defective.
