Informal Seatbelt Survey

I have to admit I don't use the seatbelts much any more. I used to use them all the time on my "other" tractor, but the belt ends were on stalks. Since the Ck30's just let them fall where they may, and that is usaully under the seat, I don't go chase them as much as I should. Kioti mounts the seatbelts on stalks on the DK45s so it is not much of a reach to do it for the popular CK25/30 series I would think.

I always use my seatbelt on the TC40DA. My old NAA doesn't have one or any ROP's, Consequentially I don't use the old girl for much any more.

Never had a belt on my old Ford 8N, so it's hard getting used to using one. I only use it when I get into hilly stuff. Otherwise, it just lays there under the seat. Don't really see the need when the terrain is fairly level.

More often than not I use mine. I've had too many occasions where I came dangerously close to going over not to. It's surprising how close one can come when it seems it shouldn't even be happening. If I go over, I want to be strapped in the safety zone.

Click Here for another long thread in the Safety forum about wearing seat belts. ROPS up, sealtbelt on. ROPS down, seatbelt off.

Thats got to be tough, putting around in midrange after racing cars.

I use my belt most of the time depending upon the task. Its pretty hilly around here.

Like a lot of things - its unlikely, but the consequences are so high its necessary.

No seat belt and no ROPS. I took it off the first day I bought my CK30. I have to go under many low branches and I knew I'd hit most of them with the ROPS.

My neighbour was killed in a tractor roll over last year. It should not have happened........but it did. His other tractor has ROP's etc. It has been a great loss to our community and to his family.

This made me park my old Ford and buy a new one with the safety features.

Think about it.
