Wanted to update this thread. Still very cold here and last week I needed the big compressor and it wouldn't start so I grabbed a wrench thinking I could loosen a port so the big machine wouldn't build air until I tightened it.
I looked for a line to loosen and there in front of me sits a safety valve on top of the primary cylinder. I simply held it open and the machine starts great in the cold.
Can't believe I have not tried this for the last 10 years, duh Fred.
And yes Ray I am considering larger wire service to my shop.
