Inherited a Lincoln MIG 140. Getting the fever

Thanks Underdog57! As much as I like talking about welding. I would really like to talk about driving piles. I drove piles for more years than I welded for a living. Any of you guys want to build a bridge, or a container ship dock, lets get a thread going! :D
SA, please identify location of dock in second pic.

At least you guys had a DELMAG driver. I got my eye teeth cut on the bride crew climbing leads, to unhook the lift cables off the head block, on a 1 ton drop hammer. Sure glad the crane operator liked me... ;)

On the whole we just used Delmags. On this job, pier 91 in north Seattle we used a hydraulic impact hammer. For driving concrete piles I really like them.

Man, that had to be sweet... We've got a local road job going on building an overpass. Saw the contractor has a hydraulic driver mounted on an excavator, driving sheet piling. Only got to see it work, while waiting for the light to change at the highway, but it was putting it right on down..!!

We put these in with a vibro hammer. But we also had to drill them out.

No. I've only worked on the west coast. From Alaska to southern California.

I've welded for fifty years on the farm, but learned more in the last two years thanks to SA and others on TBN. Thanks, to all. :)

Terry

Double that. I learned more from these guys than in 10 years trying to figure it out on my own.
