Initial Impressions of Jinma 304

I likewise have a 304. Bought it used with 13 hours on it the deal was to good to pass up. Finally having an opportunity to use it, just finished moving 25 yds of loam and quite a few large rocks.
So far so good with no problems.
Really like it a lot, does not even warm up working it hard and starts on a dime, even in sub-zero weather.
Not all that familiar with diesels but this one is a bit noisy.

I think the TY395 is noiser then the Kubotas and more expensive tractors but I think alot of the reason is its so hard to really get them up to operating temp. When mine has finally reached operating temp in the 300 hours i've ran it which in 100 degree weather bushhogging multiflor roses on very rough terrain it quiets down a bunch. I like the sound of it anyway. Low revs LOTS of power /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I run Rotella 5-40 oil in mine and let it go for nearly 200 hours and it had hardly turns dark? /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I assumed mine wasn't warming up because it had a bad thermostat or sensor or guage. I too don't have much diesel tractor experience, but I do know that mine is quieter than my neighbor's SUV! Also, I had a diesel mechanic come and listen to it. He said that the timing sounded perfect. He pointed out lower end noise that I am supposed to monitor and call him if it gets worse. He said a lot of 50's era John Deeres had the same loose sound. In his opinion, that's why they ran forever. Hope that is true of these.
