I have a MF tractor with a Perkins A3.152 Diesel Engine in it. It has a CAV DPA Injection pump. It has 2 Bleeder Assemblies One in the body and one in the cover.
The cover base screw broke off in the cover. I got it out with a left hand drill bit. Came right out and it showed a corrosion stain around half of it. So cracked for a while. The base goes in with a copper washer under it. I got the two assemblies and copper washers from a co, in the UK. The only people with a parts list online.
I have no manual for this pump so my question is should I torque down the base screw, That the one with the copper washer under it. One is 8 mm and the other a 7mm. They are not supposed to come out , only the plug screw that goes in to it loosens to bleed the pump. Or should I use blue locktite and kind of snug them down on the copper washers. There did not appear to be any loctite on them when I took them out.
