injection pump lube oil change

Hi

Dad and I are trying to change the injection pump lube oil on his MF1140. When we removed drain plug from pump it seemed like pure fuel ran out, is this correct. The manual said to drain oil . Any comments or advice

If you are removing the correct plug, that is an indication the drain interval is way too long, or you have a worn injection pump. Drain and fill as recommended, then do it again at 1/2 the recommended hours. If the tractor runs well and still loads the cambox with fuel, just drain and fill at short intervals.
