Injector rebuilders?

I have a Yanmar injector pump I need to have rebuilt. Can anyone recommend a company that rebuilds them at a descent price? I've seen a few online, but was curious to hear some of the feedback. Phone number, or web address would be great. Thanks! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I recommend you look for a local shop, if possible. Most areas have one or more places that do that sort of work on the premises. That way you can talk to the shop staff directly about exactly what made you bring it in. This sometimes helps.

Most shops are pretty good. Bad shops don't stay in business very long.

Why does your injector pump need a rebuild? That is rather unusual for a Yanmar.

Your best bet is to find one locally.
The best way to do that is check with a few dealers or heavy duty trucking shops in the area and have them recommend their shop. Of course, that said, perhaps the best source are the fleet operations who have an in-house diesel shop. These guys will know who does a reputable job with the pumps and injectors and they will have quick returns.

If you are near the coast, check with the marine guys too. Yanmar is big in marine power and I would think the pumps and injectors are direct replacements. I used a local diesel shop when my pump and injectors needed work due to fuel contamination. They were primarily a large truck diesel shop but were a Yanmar service center. I think the name was Southeast Diesel in Chattanooga, TN. Cost for rework on 3 cyl. pump and three injectors was just under $600.
