That is how i do it Aaron, I really think I did it backing up. I do favor one side to over the other then tilt the blade way over to grade with the box blade. I do the same thing with the tiller to force it to till deeper.

I have left the bush hog sort of loose because I thought that would be better but won't anymore.

You never said any of that in your first post. You also haven't said if you called them or not...have you? All or most of their parts are shipped from the LS distributor in NC.

Did you even look at the site? There is no part number because the much vaunted re seller can't get it either.

I looked for the exact same part number taken from the diagram(40213521), using the website, and it shows all of the pieces but only gives price for the unit ($59.20) ... you might call the contact number to see if they sell the individual components.,, I was able to take mine apart and used my vice to get it to almost straight.

Look at this PDF.

Look at page 214. That's the parts diagram. You appear to be looking for item #5.
Now look on page 215. That's the parts list.
I believe you are looking for just a piece of an assembly. The piece you are looking for does not have a part number, because its part of an assembly. You have to get the entire assembly, which looks to be part # 40213521.
Go to this site and enter that part #.
40213521 STABILIZER ASSY-(RH)-G896
or
40213520 STABILIZER ASSY-(LH)-G896
Right or left hand....
It appears to be about $60.00.

It took me about 5 minutes to find that info from the info that you posted.... granted, it may be incorrect, but you probably shouldn't holler at folks that try to help you by asking obvious questions that you think they should assume you should have done.

Prime example is that when you call tech support about a computer problem and the first thing they ask you is if you tried rebooting it. Now many folks get offended by that question because to them, it seems so obvious, but the person on the helping end doesn't know if you did it or not if you haven't told them, so they're going to ask you (interrogation, if you please) obvious questions from the beginning, like if you looked at that website and found the numbers I found..... ;)
Good luck and hope you find your part. :confused3:

No update? About a week ago I spoke to Shelly at the website I listed earlier, and she quoted $55.40 and around a 10 day wait because it's not in stock right now. Seems several other people have gotten similar numbers as well....go figure.
