Installing a grab handle

I have a tractor with a cab. I am getting older and it would be nice to have a grab handle when I get up out of the seat to get out. I really don't want to drill any holes. I have a flat surface. I was think something along the line of a big handle like on a sliding barn door. Is there any super adhesive that would hold it. Something like the adhesive on reflector strips you put on a trailer. (double sided super strong tape) any ideas?

In addition to the double stick carpet tape you might consider some of the newer "rare earth" magnets.

Adhesives will eventually fail, you'll be lucky if you don't break anything. I'd trust a bolt any day

Can you post a picture of your cab and we can think of options from yoir layout.
Unless it is a Massey 1700 series deluxe cab then I can just look at mine!

Adhesive will fail miserably in short period of time... Magnets will skate across surface.... Might consider "vacuum" bath tub egress handles ...

No adhesive will hold like a bolt, particularly in an environment that experiences wide variations in temperature and humidity (like a tractor cab). Last thing you need is for the handle to come off when you're pulling on it the hardest, which is when it's most likely to come off. Why are holes objectionable?

check out these clickbond anchors. I have yet to use them but i plan to use them for mounting my next tool box. I either found them here or another forum but they appear to be very strong. you could just use them as studs to mount a handle.

They are only as strong as the bonding adhesive, be forewarned, you have to have a composite bond on those to fully realize their strength.

Any adhesive is only as strong as the paint it is attached to. LAST thing in the world you want is a handle coming off when mounting or dismounting. Reminds me of the Shack in the movie "Emperor of the North Pole" with Lee Marvin. Cuts off tthe bolts to grab handles for hobos!

Anyway, I would consider hose clamps with some kind of covering over the mechanism and tail end.

I wouldn't be putting a lot of weight on it, just something to grab on to when I get up out of the seat and steady my self to get oriented to dismount from cab. There is a vertical square tube that supports the cab roof. it is about 2" x 2". I had thought about the suction bathtub also and ordered one. If I doesn't work on my tractor I will install it in our shower. Remember the old ads where they put one drop of super glue on top of a guys hard hat and lift him up. (I still wouldn't trust it.)

Even if it's just to steady yourself you could trip or come off balance for some reason and grab the handle inadvertently, making it worse than not being there at all. I looked up pictures of your tractor and it looks like it'd be quite simple to mount a solid handle to the post on the cab.

I would drill/tap for 1/4-20 (if the 2 x 2 tube thickness is 1/4") or 1/4"-28 (if the 2 x 2 tube thickness is 1/8" - 3/16") and install a grab handle similar to what I have a link for below.

On my cab, I have 4 of these at the door frame area, 2 handles vertical, 2 handles horizontal, and these handles are back to back inside and outside.
