Back to getting some work done on the hoe project today. There is no room under the operators platform for a hydraulic tank so a friend donated a tank off of an old Farmhand loader frame. This will be mounted to the loader frame on the tractor. Not the best solution but space was limited and the price was right. This afternoon was spent cleaning the tank and repairing a cracked fitting. Then stripping and paint. Now It will be Wednesday before I can back at it.

Today we had some beautiful weather so I made the sub-frame for the hoe. Had some 2" x 4" tube on hand so that is what was used.
This modification made a huge difference and the hoe to tractor attachment is much more solid. The top link is next and then I should be done except for some needed maintenance on the hydraulics. I have the hydraulics cover off in the photos for this reason.

It's a Superior loader frame but it may not all be stock. The arms look a lot like a Dual and the bucket is a rplacement. Had to lengthen the bucket because it was so small and just replaced the tilt cylinders because when the loader was up the bucket wouldn't tilt enough to dump the load. If I got stuck I couldn't use the bucket to back up with. No problems now.
This arrangement works a lot better than with the Dexta. With the loader and outriggers down it's now a very stable platform. I think sometime in the future I'm going to look for a smaller pump as this one pumps so much fluid that it puts a pretty good load on the engine. The good part is that at 1000 rpm it moves plenty fast.:D
