Instant Faces/Markup Always Inserted at the End?

Do Instant Faces/Markup always get placed at the end of the text you typed in?

I ask because when I review a post before hitting continue, I sometimes want to change the post by adding color or an icon. No matter where the cursor is sitting, the IF, IM or Font color always gets inserted after all the text I typed in.

Hint: Just watch carefully to make sure the cursor is where you want it to be, then click the icon ...

Now this is weird. Honest this did happen. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I was using Opera on my laptop. Wonder if that was the problem.

Could be Opera. It is really, really hard to accomodate very single version of /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif every browser. I do not know if the coders here on TBN test on Opera.

Note: On purpose I added the icon face after the words "version of," and doing an edit of my first post. Seems to work okay. Win @K, IE 6.X, Dell Laptop. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I'm running diagnostics on my laptop right now. Once they're finished, I will verify that the problem was caused by Opera V7.

Hi Hakim,

Get a chance... edit my post and observe the difference between "blued" text and "quoted" text...

as soon as you go into edit mode, the 'quoted" text prefix and suffix changes enough to make extra editing... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The above is what you see in edit mode... (except {} should be [])

I can tell you that's the way it works if you're using Netscape 4.7 on an old Mac, but that doesn't surprise me, nor do I expect anyone to waste their time trying to fix it. I'm using antique software on purpose and I understand there's a few things that won't work quite right. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Mike" ..I'm having the exact same problem since the new formatting.
It doesnt matter where the cursor is .....The wanted changes and enhancement etc. are always inserted at the end of the last text.
Does'nt allow the freedom of changing your post, you've got to get it
right first time. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif ..RayBee ( using IE v5.1 )
