DT I would keep this in mind when your title is land management. people will be contacting you to find out what kind of chemical to use for this or that, now that said that might be right up your ally but if not a lot of time spent on the phone recommending someone else's service. just my opnion.

oh yeah I was going to start doing mechanic work in my garage here at home and checked on insurance and not one company would right a simple liability policy because my garage is at my residence. insurance has changed in a big way in the past few years.

I would like to thank you all for the thoughts and replies. I know people get burnt out replying to peoples threads with no thanks in return, I don't want to be that guy.


I've thought a lot about about what CM said when he suggested "Landscape Maintenance Co". I wouldn't really consider what we hope to be doing landscaping but feel like maintenance is a better term than management.

I put together this short list of words while trying to describe (to myself) what we will be doing. By writing these down I hoped to come up with something suitable for a name. I don't know. Feel free to suggest any more that might apply.

I agree. I think you should look into getting a Business Owners Policy (BOP). Speaking of liability, The Hartford business insurance combines two critical coverages- business liability and business property. What's great is that you can additionally buy other coverages as well to create a policy that fits your needs. Look into it!
