Insurance coverage while off property??

I called my homeowners agency (USAA). They tell me while a tractor is at the dealer, the coverage is 10% of my homeowners. 250K policy x 10%=25k. So, if you have a tractor at a dealer, it gets stolen, damaged, vandalized, etc (you get the picture) then damges are covered up to 25K if you have 250K on your homeowners.

Is this how everyone else understands it?

I don't understand any insurance. Are you kidding? Just try, I dare you, go on try try try!

I carry a separate insurance that covers my tractor anywhere. I don't trust any of them to come through for me any more when something happens, especially homeowner's. Live in Florida for one hurricane season and you'll be jaded too!

I carry a separate insurance that covers my tractor anywhere. I don't trust any of them to come through for me any more when something happens, especially homeowner's. Live in Florida for one hurricane season and you'll be jaded too!

My Cotton States agent told me my tractor would be covered under the 10% rule at home or other property, 90k = 10k. So I got the Deere insurance that covers my tractor where ever it is. JC

I got the insurance that was offered by Kubota. Its covered any where.

I will call again in a.m, but USAA 100% of homeowners policy value at home and 10% at any other site. So, 250K at home and 25K at dealer (250K x 10%).

Good to hear that 10% rule applies. I trust USAA.
