INT 574 3 point hitch will not stay up

I own a INT 574 and for some reason the 3 point hitch will not stay up. The 3 point hitch will come up and stay up as long as you hold the handle in the up position, everything else works fine. Can someone please help me? My arm gets tired holding the lever while transporting my 3 point hook up impleaments.

That lever won't stay up on its own. There should be a sliding plastic retainer on the 3-pt lever quadrant with a friction knob that holds the lever up in whatever set position you choose. If you pull the draft control lever all the way up, then the three point should stay up on its own no matter where the 3 point lever is. That's how mine works.

When I let the lever go my three point goes down also. It kind of feels like there is pressure on the lever when I pull up on it. I'm not a hydraulics guy but could I have a bad O ring causing fluid to leak by?

If the control lever wont stay where you place it that's one thing and if the hitch drops without moving the lever that is another.

All 3 pt control levers that I've seen have friction washers to hold lever in place when operators hand is removed. Check for friction washers and tighten them up.

Look were that lever ends ...there is a 3/8 nut (it takes a 9/16 spanner ......tie up that nut a little bit
