Anyone ever building anything like this?

I have couple of old 4cyl blocks at home I may try to utilize.

Some of us bought this combo lathe and mill. Its a great space saver, has a huge for this size lathe 8" swing over deck so I can turn some large diameter stuff.

Dave, judging by the name on your machine I'm guessing it's not high end. How reliable has it been and what type of things have you made on it. I've been looking at that type of machine around here but always wonder about the reliability of the one's in my price range.

I have had no problems with the machine. At nearly 600lbs the bigest issue has been moving it when I move households a few years ago. My biggest project was to machine Heatsinks for the transmission in my Unimog (sadly gone now). With this machine I am not stuck trying to find the perfect fit, I can now make things fit
