I notice that on pillow block bearings but never thought it applied to deck spindles.
So how many deck spindles are like that? Some, most, a few?
I thought the video was going to mention the belt ripper that my JD belly deck had. Little tabs under the spindle pulleys probably designed to shed debris, but would make short work of an expensive belt if it popped off.
