I just had my 25 amp ac fuse blow while spraying the pasture 2 days ago. Tried another fuse…boom, that fuse also blew.
14 trouble free years…..
Well, im an electrician by trade. So i tore everything apart and started unhooking all the connections inside the ac unit under cab hood, i tested the connector between fuse block and ac unit, short
Between ac unit itself and ground showed ok.
So problem existed in wiring running thru cab supports.
Never realized how many wires run thru these suppports. I removed all inside trim on drivers left side and was able to trace the problem to a shorted wire that rubbed up against the support arm. Even though the wire was encased in a plastic loom, a screw from the trim shorted the ac wire.
Turned out to be an easy fix thank god. I was afraid it was something major.
While i had everything torn apart, i armored all everything and reinstalled.
Tractor sure looks nice and clean.
Ended up doing this at same time i replaced the 4 glow plugs, so only had 1 day down on the unit.
I love this tractor.
Now that i have the loader off, ill clean all the grease fittings and arms with simple green.
