International 444 hydraulics quit working

The only thing my 444 had that yours does not was power steering and two remotes. It is possible that your tractor does not have a hydraulic filter I guess. The 444 filter is not the normal looking filter and involves a few extra steps to change it that most never encounter. The filter holder actually just looks like oversize part of the hydraulic tubing

Glad you were able to find and clean the suction screen. That may have been your problem. I will see if I can find a good diagram of the filter on some 444s so you can check for it.

The IH 444 I owned had a hydraulic filter from the factory. It took me awhile to find it even using the owners manual.

I was reading this because my 444 hydraulics just quit. working as well. They have been working slowly for awhile. The fluid and filter was replaced once many years ago. The fluid level looks fine. I have power steering which also quit working . Another question, I have several gallons of Five Point 4000 hydraulic fluid which I am pretty sure is for my 444, however the sticker is faded and hard to read. Is it comparable to HyTran?

Clean hydraulic filter and replace oil again ! The IH 444 uses hydraulicfluid in the 3pionthidge That wil do .
