International/Farmall C ignition system diagram needed

Hello all.
I have a Farmall C that starts fine by me touching the negative wire to the starter but I would like to be able to do this with the ignition switch. I have some of the parts from the previous owner back I do not have a diagram for it and am having trouble finding one online. I guess I could buy the book but I wanted to check here first to see if anyone knew how or had pictures I could go off of.

Well, if the ignition switch has a wire that is energized when it's turned to "Start", that should go to a starter relay that handles the high-current work. Note that this relay is sometimes part of the starter. IOW, you don't really need the wiring diagram (schematic) to do what you want; you just want to automate touching that wire to the starter! A typically starter key switch or starter button won't handle the juice necessary, so you essentially control an electric switch (called a relay or sometimes solenoid) with that button or switch, and Bob's yer uncle.

Your C should have a pull rod starter switch. Here is a picture from the Case/IH online part book, to show it. Case IH Parts for Case IH Tractors, Case IH Combines, Case IH Tractors, Case IH Manuals, Case IH Parts The switches can be bought locally through NAPA, or a decent parts store, maybe even TSC. 2 screws mount it to the starter.

The pull rod can be made from a piece of 3/16" rod. I've also made that little rocker arm, out of a piece of 3/16" flat stock.
