"But what are you going to do with three (3!!!!) mid to large sized CUTs and a ZTR on 11.4 acres?"
Good question - I've asked myself the same question before bidding on the 1070. Truth be told, I'm not sure I will keep the 1070TLB after my rock picking and tree planting is done. Anyway, my logic for the 1070 goes something like this: For the last year or so I was giving serious thought to getting a backhoe for the 3720. The cost out the door with taxes, plumbing & installation for the 3720 hoe package was only several thousand dollars less than the 1070 package. For those several thousand dollars more, I have the 1070 tractor and the loader.
I bought the 955 from a private party with 75 hours on the clock at the time I was building the storage barn. The 955 came with a lot of the attachments listed in my profile. The 955 is still used for most of the yard chores. One thing the 955 didn't do too well was handle the snow and drifting on my 1/4 mile driveway, especially at 4:00am at -25 degrees so I could get to work before 6:00am to open the shop and offices. Not good seat time. So. . . I bought the 3720 after building the house. I use the 3720 to maintain the driveway in the wiiner and finish mow lawn in the summer. When I bought the 3720 the dealer gave me a killer deal on the ZTR - not much demand for lawn mowers in Minnesota in December. The ZTR is used to maintain about 1 acre of my land which is pretty steep and I just don't feel comfortable on it with a tractor.
