Intro

Hello everyone. I currently have two tractors a 480 Case with front end loader and backhoe. This one has been in my family now for about 30 years. I also have a Case IH 235. I don't use the 480 much anymore it needs both swing and one of the outrigger cylinders rebuilt. It's a tough tractor and has performed very well for my family for many years. The 235 I have had for about 5 years and use it to mow and clear snow. It's a good little tractor and I haven't had any issues with it yet. I'm looking to buy a new/newer tractor around 40 to 50 horsepower 4 wheel drive with a loader. I'm currently undecided on exactly what to buy. I've looked at a few from New Holland, John Deere, Kubota and Mahindra. I'll be joining in the discussions to hopefully get some feedback on a new tractor as well as provide some on the ones I've owned/used.

There are a number of different dealers around here (John Deere, Kubota, Mahindra, TYM/LS) but I'm not planning on staying around here for too many more years. As I get closer to retirement I plan on buying a place down south primarily for horses and cows. I'll be using the tractor here for general work around the place when it requires something bigger than the 235. In the future I'll be using it for hay (square and round bales) mowing, fencing maybe some planting.
