Not sure how well this copy/past will work in forums but here goes:

Check out this application on the App Store:

It is a branded (TBN) version of Forum Runner. Other details as posted by Charlie.

Did you try just searching for tractorbynet in the apps store?

(Edit: I just searched for "tractorbynet forums" and it comes up as an app you can download for free)

First time I hit this site from my iPhone, site automatically asked if I wanted to download the app. Otherwise, TBN full name wit no spaces in the app store should get you where you want to be.

Go to APP Store on your Iphone. Select Search, Type in Tractor. TBN is the first APP that shows up on my Iphone. It is great APP that I use during the day.

Is there a Tapatalk app function for this forum? Writing out a long post is very difficult for a iphone user. Tapatalk is free for all the VB forums, it just has to be enabled. All the other big boards (car, guns, chainsaws, etc) all use it and makes life so much easier for those of us that live on the road without an real computer

If that is a dictation app, I'm glad we don't have it. Typed posts are often verbose as it is. I cannot imagine the drivel each of us would post if we just speak into a mic rather than considering the words as we type or hunt and peck. And, yes, this was typed on an iPhone.

You can also use Opera Mini for a browser. It automatically reformats most forums into something useable.

No, it isn't a dictation app. It's a forum app for the iPhone and crackberries.

Try posting pics in a post like you are doing a build thread or fab work and write a short description to explain what you are doing. You can attach pics, read over and correct you mistakes. On the safari, once you get past the text line, you can't see the previous text and can't scroll back to it.

It just makes life easier. I work 14-16 hours a day and travel for work. I haven't been on a computer in months.

I just tried to edit that last post. I can't add or change anything after the word safari because that is the last word I can view in the text box and there isn't a way to get the curious to the end of the post. Try adding a pic and then writing a description. You'll see right quick what I'm talking about. Tons and tons of forums use this app. It's free for whoever has this site, they just have to enable it for us select few. And it cost a couple bucks for us end users. I think that would keep the riff rafts away from it... Lol

The iPhone app that is already available seems to allow editing and posting photos. I agree safari is difficult but the existing app, while not perfect, is far better.

(edit: using the app now)

There is another iPhone thread running in the News/Feedback forum.

I would post a link...but I don't think this IPhone app that I am using will allow me to :(

To add links or photos use the plus sign at the top of the screen just after new reply.

I understand how to post pics, and see the attachment options for posting a URL, but have you tried to copy a thread link and post it? Seems to me you would have to go out to the browser, locate the thread in safari and then copy and paste

Ok I guess it works... Very clunky though

Above is the other iPhone thread running.

If you know another way to do this WITHOUT leaving the app, I would love to know.

Thanks!

Dean
