Would be interesting to use your Fluke to test accuracy on some of the inexpensive versions sold at HF, Northern, Princess Auto, etc.

I have ray trek, fluke and hf at work. They are consistently within a couple of degrees on various materials and temperatures.

Ok so none of them measure distance. Dang that would make a handy device. I picked one with a 16:1 ratio for $25 on Amazon.

Many IR guns have a lot of features but a distance range finder normally has never been one and those are usually a stand alone device or maybe even coupled up with a tape measure. I'm kind of curious to any reasons as to why one should be included with an IR temperature unit.
