My wife Kathleen and I left for a vacation to Ireland on May 1st and returned May 12th. As you can probablly tell by my wifes first name, she is with out a doubt the driving force in going to this beautiful country /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I will attempt to share some of the beauty that we found in this wonderful country with my friends on TBN.
We actually arrived at Shannon airport on May 2nd early in the morning. We drove are rented vehicle north to Galway shortly after arriving. The first day was very tough do to lack of sleep and some rainy cold weather but we persevered and made it through the day to put ourselves on their timeline.
This first picture is an old abbey in ruins that we found driving north of Galway towards Connemarra. Did I mention driving on the left on some very narrow roads /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
This abbey was over 700 yeras old, I am totally fascinated with the age of some of these structures!!!
