Is a Hinomoto a good first tractor

alot of the lil jap scut tractors have some incredibly slow low range gears. and with that small of a tiller and mower.. I bet it does fine if the thing runs good.

My 28HP Jinma has a high low gear box then a creeper gear box. In first gear, low range, creeper engaged its 60' per hour wide open throttle. Super slow. I was told this was done because its such a growing nation they use them a lot to trench water lines, ect. The slow speed is need for these tasks.

yep.. that one major thing to be said about alot of the foriegn scut's. plenty of trans gear range options... great for tillers or trenchers.

many have 3-4 pto speeds as well giving you a good combo of ground speeds to pto speed needed

Yep, 540, 720, 1000 rpm.

My kubota b6000e had three pto speeds as well

There was an optional creeper gear which mine did not have
