Is Biodiesel OK in My 4410?

I believe bio-diesel should be competitive in price, at least in today's market of $50+ per barrel oil. Not sure that we have any available here in western, Illinois, but I'd love to try it in a smaller tractor that is on the farm.

Most of all, it seems that bio-diesel is that important "weapon" in the energy wars. We can continue to send $$$$ to the middle east, or we can start to use what we have at home.

If my memory is correct, Brazil moved to about 85% or more ethonal at least 10 years ago. That move was based upon their having a lot of sugar cane and not much money to purchase oil.

The USA should be a major exporter of food, not weapons. We have the capacity to let the world depend upon our food, not us depend upon Arab oil. I don't mean to treat the Arabs badly, just focus on what we can do that is positive.

I think this is much more of an important national security issue than most people realize.

THANKS for the map! Turns out there is a place in Geneseo that offers it. That is only about 20 miles away from me. I'll see if I can't get over there and check it out.

We have a energy fair in John Day, OR every year and people bring bio diesil rigs that they drive here from all over the west. They make it here. So it must work. Here is a link that will show you how to make your own without the potential ground water comtamination that was a problem in the early days.
