Im sorry, that you have never driven a lincoln mark viii.
That car is flawless, the faster you go the lower it hugs the ground. With a 300 hp. 32 valve intech under the hood, its the nicest luxury muscle car I have ever driven. At 125 mph. it whispers down the interstate with power to spare.
Have you ever driven a cadillac allante with the northstar engine? that is also one sweet machine, both these cars outweigh the japanese imports by far.
If you have ever been in a bad accident, and I mean bad,you will never drive a small foreign beer can again.
I have , I had an accident at 70 mph. I had nightmares for a year. Now I drive a dodge ram diesel with a nice front grill guard.

I would give the Amanti a good look over. Seems like an auto with lots of great standard features.

where can you go 125 miles per hour? I think some of the people that travel the same roads I do must try to do this. I am sure the lincoln and caddy are both nice cars, but at about 15k plus more, not sure I would pay it.

That engine puts out a decent amount of power, but, run like **** from that thing. I have literally millions of reasons as to why that very likely will be the most expensive problem you've had. It will be either completely re-designed or simply dropped. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Here in Oregon (left coast) the roads are empty , Just pull out a US. road map and you will see what I mean
Early in the morning you can drive for 10 miles on the highway & not see anyone. We dont have the population of other places here, so you kinda sorta have the road all to yourself sometimes. That also applys to hunting, you can hunt all day and never see another hunter (just bigfoot) but thats another subject.

I only drove the northstar, I dont own one.
However the lincoln sits in our garage for the past 7 yrs.
Maybe a mark 9 in the future ?

Luckily I've not in a car, but was on a Motorcycle 20 years ago.

The Amanti has 8 (standard) SRS airbags.
I don't think you searched their Website thoroughly with the link I posted.
