If you consider love from a scriptural perspective, it can be described by several Greek terms:
Agape: Self sacrificial and perfectly selfless love. Being willing to give your life for another. That's what Jesus did for us and is the love we should have for our spouses and our children.
Fileo: This is the love of a family member. It is the kinship of a close friend or relative.
Eros: This is the love that would be thought of as sexual.
If you are willing to sacrifice your life for your tractor, then that would be really weird and NOT normal.
If you have a kinship with your tractor from all the time you have spent together, I suppose that would be fine.
If you take the shrouds off your tractor and get hot and bothered by looking at the diesel engine, well, that's just sick.
