Is it a TC45, 3045 or a 2320?

Uhh - OK - So - let me see if I got this right...

It WAS a TC45DA... then for a short period of time they were 3045's... and now they are called 2320's?

Clear as mud.

Point of the post - I wanna buy a new one - dealer quoted me for a 2320 - and I thought I wanted a 3045... he says they are the same - NH just likes numbers.

Help.

OK - re-reading other posts - it kinda looks like the 2320 was first then the 3045... which if fine... except the dealer is telling me the "born on" date for the 2320 is 2/09... I'm confused by numbers...

I'd say your dealer is a lot more confused about numbers than you. 2320 was only used for the 2008 model year and was most certainly not made 2/09. The model year production seems to run a lot like car production where they start next year's production the previous Fall. I discovered that when I bought the 2310 because it is only a one year model.

NH is known for innovation . . . as long as "innovation" only requires changing a model number. The current model is "Boomer 3045."

The TC numbering system was ok, but it didn't identify the frame size. The 2320 was terrible IMO, since it was anyone's guess as to the size or HP. I think this newest system is the best of the 3, giving you the series size and the HP all in one.

It'll be really neat in 20 or 30 years when people need parts for their T1510's and T1520's, and they forget the "T" and end up with parts for 1510's and 1520's.
