You have a 4000 pound 4wd tractor. Get a 3pt backblade for 400 to 500 bucks and try it. Maybe even find a used one cheaper. You may need chains but maybe not. Try it this year without chains a couple times and see how it goes.The rear blade is usefull all year. I doubt you would ever need chains on the front.

If you decide you need chains, you can get them. I never needed a tool to put chains on.

I cant imagine having that tractor and not plowing my drive.

Cost effective is an ambiguous term. The most cost effective thing is let it melt next spring.

Can you modify the old blade from the blazer to fit your tractor?

You can also add a back-up camera to use with a rear blower.
Easy to find on EBay in about the $50-60 range.
I have maintained my drive with a 20 HP (4wd) CUT, frt blade and rear blower for many years.
Blade is great for minor events and blower for when 4" and up.
I'm slow as I am not hydrostatic tranny equipped but manage nicely.
We get 20-25 good dumpings a year in my area.
