Funny how things are. These things were new to me last week, but now that I do some looking around on the net there as common as a Ford - go figure.

Arctic Cat uses the same 3 cyl. 660 cc Suzuki engines in their 4-stroke snowmobiles. You might only have to go as far as your local Arctic Cat dealer to find engine parts for your 4x4 Suzuki Carry!

I've driven these things in Barbados along with the slightly larger Toyota Liteace. The right-hand drive actually feels more natural to me. It would be my preference. Of course, maybe the Caribbean locale is responsible for that!

If I lived down there full time, one of these things would be all I would need to drive.

Boy with diesel going up .05 every day,now $4.30 ! I would get one in a heartbeat if I could tag it and run it around town.

That brings up an interesting point. I wonder if small towns will start allowing driving golf carts of other off beat fuel saving vehicles around town.

The town leaders can't lower fuel prices, the least they can do is relax some of the driving laws. Granted safety will have to come in play, but it sure would be great if we could do those short runs in a Quad, or UTV.

I know in my area they have separate golf cart lanes.

Looks like the Amish are the ones laughing at us all, they started with horse and buggy, and before it's all said and done, were all going to be back on horse and buggies :), wouldn't that be something.

Living on the Louisiana / Mississppi line . Funny how state laws differ !!!

In Mississippi, one can tag a Mini-truck, there are some running around everyday. But here in Louisiana, they cannot be tagged for highway use.

Now, that being said, it's ok for them to run on Louisiana ground, as long as they are tagged in another state. Just don't make sense !!!!

Is it just me, or are the price of these Utility vehicles darn near getting as close as a pickup truck.

I was at the shop yesterday, and these things are up to 11k -18k, and I saw a three day special on a Ford 150 for 13K

I looked at the mini trucks and they are cool. One thing about them - they are mini. I am pretty sure my new Ranger has more room.

You can get them for like $6K but i hear they are more like $10K to get a good one. The long bed would be nice, but oh well. These UTVs serve a purpose and they are not cheap but oh well.

I wonder if there are any crew cab minis?
Have you seen the van versions? they are cool too.
Don't know if they are available in 4x4. Wouldn't be of much use as an XUV alternative though.

These things are real trucks, intended to be roadworthy, not overgrown ATVs with bench seats and steering wheels. Put an enclosed cab on a Ranger or Mule, RTV or whatever and you can barely hear yourself think when driving it.
