I am building a roll-off dumpster truck. I would like to control the bed lift from both inside the cab and outside. Is this possible? Do you all have any suggestions on which setup would be best? I plan on mounting either an engine-driven pump with a 12v clutch or a PTO pump. Both will have to be sourced for my 1991 F600 with a 6.6l diesel and 5-speed transmission.

You can either go with a solenoid valve and just use buttons to control the cylinder. Would be a mater of having a set of buttons inside the cab and outside. You could also have a remote control and just use it instead.

Another option is having two control valves. One inside the cab and other outside. Tee the A port to the A port of second valve, then from second valve to the cylinder. Same for the B port.

You'll need the power beyond fitting from first valve to feed the second one, if this is a open center system.

Thank you. If I were to use two valves wouldn't the high pressure cause problems in the out port of the other valve?

If you're using an open center hydraulic system and hook it properly, should have not issues at all.

Pump > P In first valve. Power beyond port 1st valve (with proper fitting) > P In 2nd valve. Then you'll have a tank port on the first and second valve that you can tee together and connect to the tank or a filter first if you want.

A ports of both valves tee together and connect to one of the ports on the cylinder. B ports of both valves tee together and connect to the other port on the cylinder.

You can also get valves with mechanical operation handles and electric operated on the same valve.

When the valves are closed, they are closed. If pressure is attributed to the hydraulic pump and system from an alternate path, or if the cylinder is just loaded, the control valve functions in the same way.
But I would suspect that simultaneous operation of more than one valve could lead to unplanned for action of both cylinder function and fluid flow..
