Is it to late to go from my undelivered bx1850 to a bx2350?

You know what, I bet you will never confront a situation where your tractor will not perform a task the BX2350 could perform. While technically, because of the small difference in performance, there are such situations possible, I doubt you will face one.

It can't hurt to ask. Who knows, maybe the dealer is in a situation where he could sell the 1850 to another buyer and provide a 2350 to you. The good thing is it has no wear or depreciation on it. As soon as you take delivery, the value takes a hit.

It is possible the 1850 would meet your needs, but I am going to disagree with a few others here and say there are times when the hp would make a difference. The question is, are you in any of these circumstances.

If you want to run a chipper or a generator off the rear PTO, the 2350 will barely make it into the performance range of several models; the 1850 falls a bit short of meeting specs on most models. I have a very difficult time ripping duripan with my BX2200 and a subsoiler; I bog down constantly. Only broomgrass slows my hd rough cutter, not even 2" sapplings slow it down. I doubt you need to drill into serpentine or harder rock, which would necessitate a good Pengo auger and specialty Pengo tip, but the hp would make a difference here as well.

If you never will want to run a chipper or generator, never need to rip duripan, ironpan, or caliche, drill into rock, or brush hog broomgrass, then the 1850 is likely to do everything you need. If one of those circumstances applies to you, there is only one certainty: if you don't ask, it's for sure you won't get it.

Best of luck with your situation.

OK, I'm a little confused by your post - it sounds like you still don't have a tractor, but have been making payments on the undelivered tractor for a few months?

I've never heard of that maneuver. They and Kubota may say that you can't change the machine because you are already paying for one, but you've been paying for a machine that was never delivered? I take it you've been ok with this arrangement, but that's got to be the oddest thing I've ever heard of. Not even sure it would be considered legal.

If you haven't taken delivery yet, then I'd push for the upgrade if you really want it.
I'd skip the BX2350 and go on up to the BX24.

I do believe my BX1500 would have done everything My BX23 did in 950 hours except for the BH work.

I'd get the first one that has a REAL cat 1 hitch. That's still a step above the BX24 ...

But, I like a big tractor! ;)

What's your definition of a real Category 1 hitch? The BX2350 hitch fits Category 1 attachments best. It's designed for 26" between pins. We have a Landpride BB1548 box blade and a Landpride LR1560 rake, both sold as Cat 1 attachments and they both fit the BX2350 hitch very well.

Cat 1N attachements will fit but not as well. If a Cat1N attachment is used the rear arms are angled in and more difficult to attach; with standard Cat 1 attachements they are parallel at the rear.

I think you are probably going to be stuck with the machine unless you have a very cooperative dealer. Kubota will consider that machine as sold, paper work is done and is under warranty. Dealer could take it back as a trade-in but next buyer would buy it as used and won't get any applicable low rate financing like a new one from Kubota. New buyer would also have shorter remaining warranty. You will probably have to take a significant loss as a trade-in because the dealer will have more difficulty selling it unless he also drops his selling price for a "used machine". However, it never hurts to ask.
