Luckily there was never actually ONE TRILLION of actual money in the bitcoin market, it was just a balloon full of hot air. I spend some time trying to figure out how much real money was in there once and I do admit it's impossible to really know between the wash trading, tether printing 100's of billions back by nothing, and just general btc price inflation from hype.

I'm sure we'll hear real soon now about how this is Good For Bitcoin and we should just DCA and Few Understand.

I can say that MSTR is looking like a worse and worse bet but I would argue that the Conman In Charge over there has still very very likely pocketed 100's of millions in dirty fiat as he took his investors for a ride.

If you can't see all the potential reasons to be scared of Crypto currency, then there's no help for you.

I will avoid that like the plague as long as I humanly can.

From day one I couldn't imagine anyone buying 'air' & not even a known founder.(???)

Bitcoin seems to be in a price discovery mode.

Absolute bloodbath...

The question "Is it too soon to talk about crypto?" was asked on September 7, 2025. At that time Bitcoin was at $112,077 per coin. As I write, it's dipped below $66,000 $63,000 $61,000.

So yes, it's still too soon.

Congress Asks If Treasury Will “Bail Out Bitcoin”—Bizarre Exchange Highlights Crypto’s Federal Immunity

That's definitely bizarre. As pointed out in the article, there is no Bitcoin company to bail out. All they could do is start buying a crapload of bitcoin to try to temporarily bring the price back up.

An investment with no inherent value is worth whatever people think it is. There's no way around that.

I would like to hear from @MinnesotaEric about what's going on with bitcoin right now. He started this thread, but his last post in this thread was Oct. 30, 2025.

I see that it is at about 62k right now, and it started at around 72k this morning.

I don't think this sudden plunge is good for anyone, no matter if you are invested in crypto or not. I'm glad I'm not invested in it right now. Or? Is now a good time to get into bitcoin?

Just saw downside at 30k and upside of 200k.
Too volatile for me.

I don't have precious metals but with gold & silver you have something tangible that will always be useful. One economist I heard said cryptocurrency actually has negative value not only because it's nothing real but it takes energy (electricity) running computers to mine it.

Sadly, I've had some health issues.

Hope he's OK, he has been a great technical contributor here, especially his research and posting of replacement relays for the Kioti tractors.

It was that way for a day.

Not today.
