On my B7500 I am mounting a MMM that I purchased a few days ago. I have mounted all the linkage to the tractor and am ready to mount the deck. It appears it would be a real chore to slide the deck under the middle of the tractor and I believe this deck is a drive over type.

This deck fits tractors, B7500, B7400, B7510, B7610, and B2410.

I need someone who has this deck to confirm or deny that this is a drive over.

Thanks

Daniel

It's NOT a drive-over, Dan. At least nothing in my manual indicates that there is a drive-over R&R capability. It indicates it has to be installed by sliding it in and out from the right side....something I've not succeeded at doing without a little help from the FEL. The 72" model is the only drive-over I'm aware of.

If you do have an FEL, you might try the following:
To Install-
1)With FEL raised, drive up to the back of the mower centered, stopping when the front wheels hit the back of the mower
2)With bucket in dump position, lower FEL until the bucket lip rests on the floor in front of the mower. A couple of short pieces of 2x4 or 4x4 under the bucket lip might help add a little reach. Experiment with the dump angle if you're coming up short.
3)Raise front of tractor with the FEL. This will draw the front wheels toward the mower some so more playing with dump angle may be required. Raise until wheels clear the top of the mower
4)Roll mower back under the tractor
5)Lower the front of the tractor
6)Hook up the front linkage and the mid PTO drive
7)Lower the 3pt. hitch and hook up the left and right rear linkages
8)Check everything out and then remove the FEL for mowing.

To Remove the MMM, reverse the above.

This seems to work with the B7610/LA352/RCK60-24B. Sure glad I got the FEL as it's a hassle otherwise.

Hope this helps.

Assuming you have a hard surface to work on----go to Lowes or Home Depot and purchase four 6" tri-casters. Put under the deck wheels and you can roll it all over.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will consider that also.

Just (another) ignorant question here. Does the mower deck not have scalp wheels that can be turned 90 degrees? Don't understand why else it would be so hard to "slide under the tractor"??

The front wheels do swivel but the rear are fixed, forward and back only.

A few weeks ago I got the last three of those casters that my Home Depot had. I thought I'd get the fourth later... Then I realized that three actually work better than four. Put one under the center anti-scalp roller. Three points of support and there are no balance issues.

If you have a FEL, it really isn't difficult. I use my MMM on my b7800 & I can cut my yard & get close to everything.
