So, it's hard for me to tell, but I'm wondering if I have some kind of diesel leak on my B7800. My fuel levels seem to go down too quickly between fillups. I've just started to notice it, and wonder if there's a way for me to check, other than the dial, and if this is a common problem. Is it routine maintenance to change out fuel lines?

On a similar topic, I heard an old guy around here talk about changing out the hydraulic lines on his tractor (not sure what type) and that also got me wondering if that's a thing.

Advice welcome.

My Branson manual calls for changing the fuel lines every two years. That's probably excessive but rubber lines do age and go bad. That's true of hydraulic lines too. They're under pressure and can burst. If your flesh is close it'll act like a water jet cutter.

If the fuel is ieaking enough to notice the level going down there'll be a mess under the tractor somewhere and it will smell of diesel.

If you are suggesting a leaking fuel line... You should be able to See that.
An internal leak in the engine would also show up, engine oil getting diluted.

A clogged air filter will cause excessive fuel usage.
