Is my L2501 quote way out of line?

This was from Messick's.

I would suggest you contact Neil at Messick's. My original quote from a salesman was way out of whack, so I contacted Neil. He and I worked out a great deal. I am sure he would be willing to work something out with you.

Just as an update. I ordered from Barlow's. I got an L2501 HST, Loaded R1 tires, FEL with forks, SSQA, Third Function, BH, one set of remotes, and thumb all for less then what Messicks quoted previously. A significantly better deal. I'm going to guess the fact that I look young and still get carded for beer led the messicks salesman to not take me seriously. His loss as (which will be significant since we are contemplating a M6-101 for the farm) I will now buy exclusively from Barlow's even though it is significantly further away.

Glad you got a better deal. I try to keep things simple. When I traded last year I priced my used unit at retail and wholesale on the trade. I kept attachments and add-on's out of the equation. Since I was financing my purchase I waited several months on purchasing separately my grapple, forks, and third function hydraulics. I was able to get the forks used off Craigslist for 1/2 the cost of new. The 72" light duty grapple was under a grand. Paid cash for the add-on's. I know that most folk like to get everything at one time. If you can wait on those other attachments and are patient you can save some coin. JMHO. YMMV.

The only thing he got was a set of forks. The rest of the stuff he bought should be purchased with the tractor. He did a good job.
