Is my L2501 quote way out of line?

Yes, and with the raggedy enumeration of options in Post #1, I wonder if the OP and the dealer are on the same page.

The OP may have included another option or two in quote from the dealer but not enumerated same here.

I often wonder why people don't just post a pic of the quote.
That way we know exactly what they are being quoted for.

Unless a lot of people just get a verbal quote........which is worth the same as the paper it is written on!

I just bought a L2501 a few months ago.
Got an email PDF quote from each dealer for the exact tractor and attachments by model # including tax and any fees.

They were within $100 of each other and right at 10% off the build my Kubota feature for the tractor.

So it was easy to know that was the going rate for my area in the spring.

He has a good $5-7k in options and did not say how much was sales tax.

Total = $22,100
Estimated 7% tax

I'm sure there's also some rebates available and rebates when you buy two implements.

Like I said... price is high in my opinion.

Depending on what third function the OP goes with that price may vary. My landpride third function was $714 after tax.

But then again, you can get a $1400 grapple, or a $3500 grapple.

AS others said, there is a range of pricing for different options, but perhaps not as large of a range as the grapple.

Need to itemize the quote to find out what is too high.

Tell the dealer you are all in for 21k. He's got some wiggle room on those accessories .

Yep! That tractor will barely lift a $3,500 grapple. Good advice

So since I apparently posted a "raggedy" description here are the itemized prices (just got them from a well known dealer). All prices are in USD and pre tax.

L2501 HST - $15,760
LA525 - $4,685
Third Function - $970
Remotes (1 set) - $900
Ballast Box - $400
Pallet Forks - $800
LP SGC1060 - $2,485
Discount of $500 for two implements.

Still seems high to me. I will probably end up not getting the grapple, seems I would be better off for getting a grapple for my forks for firewood cutting.

Tractor price is about $1500 too high IMO.

Basically paying full retail for the loader. So that's about $500 too high.

Dealer 3rd function is too high. Do it yourself and you can save $500.

Grapple and forks....for $3200.....those you can get as a pair for about $1700. So those are $1500 too high.

Forget the ballast box. If you really decide you need something, make something.

So all in all, about $4500 too much
