Are you deducting the trailer weight of the trailer from the 3500# axle? I was looking at a 6x14 with a 3500# able but the trailer weighed 700# so I was limited to 2800#. A BX2230 with Woods loader and fel tips the scales at 2680# so I have a 120# safety margin. The same 6x14 with tandem trailers will handle 6000#. Plenty of safety room. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
I would just be careful about the trailer since your talking a pretty good sized load on a pretty small trailer.
