Only 1 person speeks about the C (combustion) spec and the S (spark) spec off oil ! That is what you have to look at ! Early oils can be a CB....CC ....CD spec . The furter in the alphbet the better the oil ae a CI oil will fulfil all the specs off all oil from the start to the CI but not the CG ae that will be better than the CF.Yes, you can use diesel engine oils in gasoline engines. No problem whatsoever.

I use Rotella T6 in everything except my daughters Corolla. I stay with the recommended 0-20 since it’s still under warranty.
Now for then next stepThat is our choice since it is good for every engine we own and none are under warranty and have never learned about a better motor oil choice.
And just how does a person arbitrarily arrive at that conclusion? :confused3:A 10w30 oil is probably what plain old 30w oil was years ago before the change to rating it multigrade.
