Is the standard 200cx 61" inch bucket heavy enough?

Amen to the poster about adequate ballast with the larger buckets.

I have the 61" HD bucket on JD and it's pretty heavy duty. the double wall top isn't that thick (top to bottom) but is deep. I have not bent it lifting, digging, etc. The only damage I have to the top of the bucket are two deep (1"+, 4" wide) 'dimples' that I got from the grapple. :) When I transport the tractor I put the 61" HD bucket inside of the 72" grapple (on the tractor). I had the bucket too deep in the grapple and when I closed the grapples the steel near the pivots put deep dimples in the 61" bucket. :O). The grapple has 1700lbs of pinching force at the ends, I can only imagine what it has a few inches away from the pivot.

Oh well, now I know where I'll weld on my lifting hooks after welding maybe a 1/4" steel plate over these 'dimples'... ;)

So, if I happen to trade my 2520 for a 3720, I could keep and use on the 3720, my 53" bucket with tooth bar for digging stuff, and also opt for the largest bucket for loose, higher volume stuff?
