I was at my local New Holland dealer the other day getting some info for a friend of mine. While talking with one of the salesmen, he told me that New Holland is no longer making the tc25. They are still making the tc29 & tc33. Has anyone else heard this? He was really pushing the new tc30's.

It sure seems like I remember some earlier discussion that NH intended to come out with a higher hp TC21... I think that it's probably easier to hit a price point and a profit target with a higher HP lower model (TC21) than a derated higher model (TC29).

The tc25 is being replaced with a tc24 class 1 compact as soon as current inventory runs out on tc25. estimated shipping is to start sometime this spring. Hope this helps you.

Right now, the TC25 is the entry point of NH's Class II Boomers. They are going to make it the top end Class I Boomer. My guess is NH discovered one of two things, or both. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif (1) People who wanted the heavier frame, larger size, etc. of the Class II Boomer often needed more than 25 hp or (2) People who wanted the smaller frame, smaller footprint of the Class I Boomer wanted more than 21 hp.

I'm sure I'm one of the reasons why the TC25 is going away. I'm sure that a TC25 would have done all the tasks I needed to do but, I wasn't positive. And, when I went to purchase the tractor, the difference in price between the 25 and 33 was not all that much so, I ended up getting the 33. Ignorance may be bliss but, it is also expensive.

I think you are right CGranat. The TC25, 29, & 33 prices were close enough to make up buyers minds to buy the high HPs. I have a TC21D, and I can't imagine what I could do more with the extra HPs on my tractor. But NH builts a great product, and I think they know what they are doing. Kent

The friend i was getting info for has 3 acres that he wants to bush hog ,move some dirt around, and eventually just finish mow. I recommended the TC 21D. Price came in at 14,895.00 with 7106 FEL. He originally was interested in a TC18.I did not get a price on a TC18,but, i wouldn't think that there would be much price difference,or am i wrong? Either one would probably work for him.

Arkie,

What about that TC 30 your dealer was pushing. I'm picking one up in two weeks. 30 HP, 4-WD, 9 X 3 trans, R4 tires (loaded), 7308 FEL with HD bucket; $15,860.

Lazyjz, If i remember correctly, and don't hold me to this , the same setup but with hydro tranny came in at 15,995.00. Salesman said he could deal better with the tc 30 than the other tractors, for reasons i don't know. Looked like a very good tractor and congrats on your new tractor.Have fun.
