Adding dual wheels whether they are the solid flat proof or pneumatic tires reduces the amount of wracking from opposing corner to opposing corner of the rotary cutter as it helps to maintain only a limited amount of stress on the mower weldments that are attached to the steel sheeting that the mower is constructed from.
Yes it will reduce any stress on the rotary cutter frame to a minimum.
Is your cutter a pull type or three point hitch mounted?
I ask only because setting the cutting height and locking it will have many plusses
and fewer minuses other than a taller cut.
Do you plan on making it good turf with plowing discing and using a grass drill
some time in the future?
