In changing the anti-freeze in my B7800 I can't seem to find a block drain plug and the owner's manual has no mention of it. Just the radiator drain that doesn't seem to do a thorough job. That seems odd. Anyone know if there is a block drain plug on the B7800?

I have changed the coolant 3 times now, every 2 years, and drained the system via the factory supplied drain valve. Once the radiator cap is off, I got the system completely drained, every time. Remember the drain valve is located lower than the lowest part of the engine cooling system... So this should work. I have not seen any other drain cock on the cylinder block, only the nylon one on the coolant hose.
Hope this helps you Sixdogs.

On my m8540 the block drain is almost behind the water separator down below it. Mines just a bolt with a compression washer. it makes a **** of a mess if you pull it

Thanks... Dan W has it right and as I think about it realize that the radiator plug is the lowest spot and will indeed drain if on level ground. I was on a slight slope of the barn pad but can fix that tomorrow.

And xring, I used to have a larger Kubota and was able to find a petcock with hose attachment that allowed me to drain the anti freeze without the huge mess it used to be.

Thank you.
