Tractor
5225 & 3720
5225 is a noisy thing but has been a good tractor.

what noise - exhaust? if so, put a better muffler on. I think that would be offset by noise from attachments though.

Are you using ear protection? I do - helps alot.

Mufflers seem to be an afterthought on most tractors.

Yes 5225 has 5 cyl engine. I did own a 45 pto hp Kubota tractor with a 5 cyl engine & it was quiet running.

The Deere 5 bangers were way too CLATTERY NOISY for me.

My buddy traded his for a much quieter 4cyl.

Good engines tho can’t argue that.

The neighbor's 4052 is less noisy than the 2025R.

Hearing protection is a much cheaper option...
My 2005 4520 is pretty noisy at PTO RPM (2400). This tractor has the Deere Powertech engine, not the Yanmar of the later models. Good engine...more cold natured then a Yanmar, but more lower end torque. Yanmar engines are great though!
Anyway, when I'm mowing (flail mower), I have sound attenuator muffs on. Wintertime snow blowing...I normally have a hat with muffs or a hood which reduces the noise quite a bit

I expect we will have to wait for an electric tractor show up in the barn to cut the noise much on on a 50-60 HP tractor. Plugging in a cord instead of making the PTO connection would be a plus in my view.
