Is there a Standard Quick hitch height for the top hook?

Don't you want different heights for different implements? Like a hay fork or a dirt scoop needs to tilt as it lifts so you'd use a higher attachment point. A tow frame you want to lift straight so you'd attach the top link lower and more parallel to the bottom link. Seems to me that's a drawback of quick hitches. Am I missing something?

You can still utilize the 3 different holes on the tractor to change the way your implement behaves when lifted. The whole point of a quick hitch is to be able to go from implement to implement without making any adjustments to the quick hitch itself. Some folks who have various vintages of implements will find that the upper hook on the QH needs to be adjusted vertically because years ago, there was little adhereance to the ASAE standard dimensions. Some manufacturers made theirs to the 15" standard and some others went as high as 18". Many manufacturers also placed structural members or fasteners below the upper hole which makes the use of a QH nearly impossible without modifying the implement.

A QH compatible implement will have ample clearance under the top hole so that the hook of the QH can fit under the pin and then be lifted up to grab hold of it.

Those of us with older implements have 3 choices:
1. Adjust the upper hook every time you change implements- a big pain and it takes the "QUICK" factor away.
2. Modify every non-conforming implement to the 15" centerline dimension- time consuming and possibly expensive.
3. Don't use a QH at all.

I didn't mention the Pat's hook style lower links because in my opinion, if you still have to dismount the tractor to attach the top link, it's no longer a time saving routine, and falls outside of my definition of "quick."

To be fair.....I do not see the titan ballast box as being listed as quick hitch compatible.

But yea, the ~15" number is the correct one. 18" was pre-quick hitch

Your tractor has multiple holes? Cool. My old thing doesn't. I guess another way would be to weld brackets to your QH to allow some options for top link mount points.
